With their main manufacturing facility in Sheffield—blending everything from oil-based gear and hydraulic oils to water-soluble metalworking fluids—and an additional site in Hinckley focused on water-based cleaners, Pennine Lubricants spans both Yorkshire and the Midlands.
For decades, Pennine Lubricants has been proud to help UK manufacturers run at their best, and their set-up reflects a commitment to precision, quality, and flexibility. Their Sheffield site boasts two advanced blending plants: one for oil-based products that undergo a heated mixing process, and another for water-soluble metalworking fluids requiring overnight stability tests. According to John Grierson, Sales Director at Pennine Lubricants, “Our process is highly controlled—everything from heated blending to thorough lab testing—so our customers can rely on stable, top-quality products every time.” Meanwhile, the Hinckley site focuses on water-based cleaners, offering another layer of specialist capability under the Pennine Lubricants banner.
John explains that joining Made in Yorkshire is “all about connecting with like-minded manufacturers from our region and beyond.” The company recognises that a spirit of collaboration is essential, both to share best practice and to discover new ways to serve an evolving market. “We all benefit—learning from each other’s successes and pitfalls,” he adds.
